Match Play Tournament

Match play offers a different and exciting format.  Over the years, we have seen many different winners of different skill levels.

This is a SEASON LONG COMPETITION starting in May and ending in November.

In each round, players compete in head-to-head matches with the winner continuing to the next round. Players can use IGST events to play their matches or arrange separate games. Players have until the deadlines for each round to complete their matches.  

NOTE: We are limited to 32 golfers who may participate in the tournament so be sure to sign up early!

May 15 - Deadline to enter the tournament 
May 17 - The draw                                                                                                                     
May 23 - First IGST event opportunity to play pure match play at Pali International

How to Enter - Now to May 15
To be eligible for this tournament, players have to sign up  BEFORE May 15.

Draw & Deadlines Announcement - May 17
The draw and deadlines to complete the rounds will be announced on May 17. 
All matches must be played before the deadlines.
If the players cannot arrange a convenient day to play the match, the player who joins an IGST event in the month of the deadline will be declared the winner. Should neither player be able to join an IGST event that month, the winner will be decided by a lucky draw.

Everyone is guaranteed at least two games! Those who lose their first match in the Cup competition will be relegated to the Plate competition, but if you are eliminated in your next game, you've been knocked out of the match play tournament.

Kickoff Day at Gold Coast - May 23
Players will have an opportunity to play their first round matches on May 23 at Pali International during the IGST Match Play Day Event.
Even if you can’t join Match Play Day event on May 23, you can still join Match Play Tournament. 
However, if you're unable to play that day, you should arrange another date with your opponent before the round deadline.
